I really wanted to get my mixer airbrushed, but this was a little more practical. The flames look pretty good, but aren’t overly flexible which makes it a little difficult to put onto something that round. Round peg in square hole type of thing. But I was able to smooth it out pretty well and it looks great as long as you don’t look too close. : )

The KitchenAid 600 Series Mixers are the largest stand mixers manufactured bearing the KitchenAid brand name. The Pro 600 brings professional power and outcomes to the baker and family. How do you know if a KitchenAid Stand Mixer Professional 600 is the perfect stand mixer for your cooking needs? Below are a few pros and cons regarding the KitchenAid 600 Series Mixers.

Advantages of the KitchenAid 600 Series Mixers

Big Capacity - The 6 quart mixing bowl and powerful motor can power through batches of up to 14 cups of all-purpose flour.

Powerful Motor - The KitchenAid Stand Mixer Professional 600 boasts a 575 Watt motor. This is 125 Watts stronger than the closest mixer.

Stability - Due to the bowl-lift structure of the KitchenAid 600 Series Mixers, they are much more stable than tilt-head models when working with thick dough.

Large Opening Bowl - The KitchenAid Pro 5 Plus and the KitchenAid Professional 600 both possess a bowl with a large opening, allowing easier reach to the bowl contents.

Smart Speed Controls - The Kitchenaid 600 Series Mixers have a soft-start feature that keeps the bowl contents from flying from the bowl. The Electronic Speed Sensor keeps the mixer running at the selected speed even while the mixture become thicker as ingredients are added.

PowerKnead Dough Hook - Most KitchenAid mixers have a C-shaped dough hook. The PowerKnead hook can more efficiently handle stiffer dough.

Many Attachments Available - The KitchenAid 600 Series can turn into a complete kitchen center with the purchase of further attachments. These attachments allow you to do everything from opening cans to making ice cream. Think of a mixer than can even slice vegetables and stuff sausages!

KitchenAid Warranty - The Pro 600 is backed by KitchenAid's no-questions guarantee. They will replace the mixer if it stops working during the first year.

Disadvantages of the KitchenAid 600 Series Mixers

Weight - Due to its considerable size along with its strong motor, the KitchenAid Mixer Professional 600 is a weighty appliance. It is wise to locate a place where it can remain on the counter top.

Space Required - The mixer requires a bit of vertical height. Confirm that the necessary space can be found in your kitchen.

Price Tag - Because it is the top of the KitchenAid line, it costs the most.

With KitchenAid's well-known reputation for superiority, the KitchenAid Stand Mixer Professional 600 becomes a good purchase that will result in sustained use as well as yummy treats.

I have had this for 3 years and it still gets great comments. It has delaminated a bit where the clear outer layer has pulled up from the colored layer beneath it, but seems stable for now. It is NOT peeling off the mixer.

I may have to replace with a new set (maybe the plane decal set?) in a little while.

It is expensive, but less expensive and a lot more fun than a silly, girly-looking quilted cover. It all depends whose mixer it is in the family. This one is mine.

This decal itself is made well, though I would appreciate some more instructions and tips on applying it to my kitchenaid. I put it on too close to the front curve and it wrinkled up in the front, so I tried taking it off and of course the adhesive didn’t work as well. Then I bought a bottle of spray adhesive to fix it and must not have been slow enough peeling it off and it ripped this ugly jagged tear. So I stopped totally and have resigned myself to leaving it on and smoothing down the edges EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have 5 kids and plenty else to do as we just moved across the country, so I have yet to carefully peel it off and attempt to get my money back. I would like to try again, but I’m afraid if I damage it further, I am out the 20 bucks+ that I paid, and I’d rather have it on than not. Sad, huh?
It’s worth the money b/c you can’t find anything like the flames anywhere else, but if you want turtles or something like those white decals you put in car windows from Wal-Mart or wherever, you could get those cheaper or the same price. If you do buy it, go slow and don’t try to make it curve over the front unless you plan well and overlap it slowly. And get some spray adhesive to strengthen it.
Overall, I’d try one more time (when I get the time), and call my problems me being impatient, but I stand by the need for better directions.

What more can I say? Just what I wanted, but way to expensive for a few pieces of cling plastic. My KitchenAid if very happy to be dressed up!

Fast Shipping and great product. It is way more powerful than the Artisan series that I first bought. I would advise spending the extra money and getting this one. It is quieter than expected (about like the Artisan) and performs better. I like the extra features like the slow startup and It has not strained like the Artisan did with pizza dough. I look forward to getting the attachments for grain, meat and pasta.

You will have this for life. Has wonderful attachments and makes cooking particularly baking easier and with fabulous and consistent results.

My husband ordered this for me for my birthday in the very lovely caviar. I used this well for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas baking. I made I don’t know how many dozens of cupcakes for my daughters birthday party, several standard cakes for Thanksgiving and roughly a dozen cheesecakes for Thanksgiving with no issues what-so-ever. It cleans very easy, looks wonderful on my counter and as the title states, well worth the wait!

Why I bought it:
I make a lot of cakes from home.

Pros:
I can make a very big batch of buttercream. I love the options for all of the attachments.

Cons:
It bogs down a little when I really load it up but I haven’t had it quit on me. I have to handwash the attachments because for some reason, the dish detergent crystalizes and sticks to them.

Decal was the perfect size for my 4.5 quart mixer. Sellers description was very informative and item was received quickly.

Edwards July 2, 2010 at 8:13 pm

The product was delivered promptly in excellent condition. The seller did everything expected in the transaction.

This mixer is beautiful. It works great. We have made a few batches of pizza dough, cookies and brownies. THe only thing that we don’t like about it is that if you are making small batches of things the bowl is really way too big. I wished they had a diffeent size bowl that you could interchange with the 6 qt one.

Always wanted a KitchenAid mixer and I bought the workhorse. Simply put, it makes baking and whatever else you would use a mixer to make so much easier! It is well worth the money.

This is a fabulous purchase. I use it almost everyday. Really easy to operate. Heavy duty. I bought the ice cream maker attachment as well, and all I can say is YUMMO! I saw a few reviews about it being a bit difficult to attach the ice cream blade, however it was as easy as hooking up a beater. (Hint; just look at the length of the two sides of the attachment and match it according to the picture of your model.) I looked at the other Kitchen Aid models, and am happy I bought the deluxe, lift bowl. It makes a large batch for one thing, and the power is incredible. I can make a quart of whipped cream in a minute, and my hands are free to do other prep work. I definitely use the shield when I have a full bowl, so don’t be fooled by what the adds say about the refurbished ones, “that you don’t need it”. (They can be ordered separately though.) With power like this, I will be ordering all the attachments for sure, which will eliminate many appliances. Just another reason I am happy to have this powerhouse. REALLY WORTH THE MONEY!
