I love this coffee pot. My old man retired. I have this and I liked the cup size 14, because my husband like to take a thermos bottle in the morning, and I should make another pot for me. We now have enough to drink the coffee for two cups and I am! I like the automatic adjustment and control temp. If you drink much coffee, as we do not pass this.

The Best!!

We purchased this Cuisinart Coffeemaker in January 2010...Don't know where to start. It makes great coffee, looks good, I no longer spill water on the cabinet and floor as with my previous coffeemaker.....Also I am using less coffee than before. It is for sure one of the best purchases I have made in a long time....this is the first time I have reviewed any item but felt like this Cuisinart was a excellent product...Also would like to add, I purchased this item after reading the reviews...I now always check reviews before buying anything....it is such a help.

The only coffee maker you'll ever want!

We got this coffee maker for Christmas and we love it! It keeps the coffee hot down to the last drop. There are zero coffee grounds in the pot, so you can drink that last drop. I love the beep for when the coffee is done and when the pot is going to turn off. We race to the pot when we hear it. I love how secure the pot fits in the machine and how secure the lid is on the pot. The carafe is heavy duty and the handle fits securely. There is nothing cheap about it. I might buy another one now so I have a back up!

Great coffe maker

I was looking at various models along with a few Cusinarts. Looked at Consumer Reports who gave a good rating to an earlier model however reviews of that model pointed out some short comings. After much research decided to buy the DCC-2600 and have not been disapointed. This model addressed the negative comments from the earlier models. I would suggest using the paper coffee filters which you purchase as an option unless your water is great tasting. Makes a great cup of coffee, easy to use , nice and hot etc. Have had this unit for about a month and would recommend it highly. Cannot think of anything negative to say about it.

Coffee Maker Done Right

We needed a new coffee maker and after reading the reviews for the 1200 ( too many quality issues ) I thought maybe Cuisinart read the writing on the wall and decided to go all out and build a better product with the 2600. Seems they did. Everything about this machine is user friendly. It took some time to figure out how fine to grind our coffee ( we buy only whole beans ) but with the KitchenAid grinder we have set on #6 ( very fine- much more so than canned coffee ) and the Cuisinart set on the 'bold' setting with seven well-rounded scoops from a normal coffee scoop ( I don't use the scoop that came with the machine because it's too small ) we are treated to 14 cups of very strong, very tasty coffee. We learned to keep the carafe temp set on 'low' to save energy and because it keeps the coffee at just the right temp up to four hours after brewing. Be careful with the 'medium' or 'high' settings, they can singe your tastebuds.

Getting water into the machine is a little tough because of the small opening. But I use a 'Brita' pitcher so filling is much easier. Some have stated in their reviews that sometimes water will leak out and puddle while brewing. I wonder how many know there is a hole in the back of the machine where the water is held so that over-filling is prevented?

All in all the Cuisinart 2600 is a well designed, multifeatured coffee maker that gets the job done. What more can you ask? This is one of those 'no-brainer' purchases that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face everytime you see the carafe full and waiting. Cuisinart has put a lot of time and effort into making a machine that performs well the first time and everytime. As I stated earlier it's a coffee maker 'done right'.
