One of my Dad’s old school chums was one of Clair Chenault’s original 100 Flying Tigers (no kidding), so there is a special place in my head for all things that have to do with that bunch. Not only that, but I like off-beat things and what could be more off-beat than a mixer with the most recognized Flying Tiger emblem?
Fairly easy to apply, too.

"Seriously awesome!!"
By H. Brewer
I LOVE this citrus press. My fiance and I became fascinated with fresh orange juice after a trip to europe. If you order orange juice in europe, you can bet it's fresh squeezed. So we decided to get a citrus press for our housewarming gift to ourselves. After a lot of research, my fiance picked this brand. We've had it for a month and I love it. It's motorized, so it is easy to get all the juice possible out of the orange. Best part...it's easy clean-up. There are three pieces you have to wash after using it. I remove the base, the strainer and the grinder, rinse under hot water and let air dry. If you rinse it right after using it, that's all the clean-up necessary. One thing about making your own orange juice...it's a little pricey. It takes about 4 oranges to make a tall glass of orange juice.
"excellent juicer"
By Daniel Mcgovern (Monterey, CA USA)
This is the best citrus juicer I've ever used. It's quick, efficient and easy to clean. Absolutely worth every penny. I should say that I only just bought it so I'll have to wait and see how it stands up over time.

Question about stick and click lighting for under cabinets????
I recently bought a brand new kitchen aid professional mixer. However, I have to get rid of one of the small lamps I have on my counter tops for kitchen aid professional mixer extra lighting in the kitchen. I was looking to replace the lamp and purchase the stick and click lighting system. Are these lights fluorscent? Or are they like a light bulb that is more a yellow tint at opposed to white light. I hate fluorscent lighting. Can anyone recommend a light that can be easily mounted under a cabinet? Looking to not have to do any wiring. Thanks in advance for your responses!Brad

My husband ordered this for me for my birthday in the very lovely caviar. I used this well for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas baking. I made I don’t know how many dozens of cupcakes for my daughters birthday party, several standard cakes for Thanksgiving and roughly a dozen cheesecakes for Thanksgiving with no issues what-so-ever. It cleans very easy, looks wonderful on my counter and as the title states, well worth the wait!
Fast Shipping and great product. It is way more powerful than the Artisan series that I first bought. I would advise spending the extra money and getting this one. It is quieter than expected (about like the Artisan) and performs better. I like the extra features like the slow startup and It has not strained like the Artisan did with pizza dough. I look forward to getting the attachments for grain, meat and pasta.
Why I bought it:
I make a lot of cakes from home.
Pros:
I can make a very big batch of buttercream. I love the options for all of the attachments.
Cons:
It bogs down a little when I really load it up but I haven’t had it quit on me. I have to handwash the attachments because for some reason, the dish detergent crystalizes and sticks to them.
You will have this for life. Has wonderful attachments and makes cooking particularly baking easier and with fabulous and consistent results.
I couldn’t be better pleased with this decal set. The decals themselves are wonderful quality – well worth the price, which I thought was a bit steep, until people started bragging on my beautiful mixer! A dear friend in Maine wrote me that I surely had the fanciest mixer in Alabama. My Mom has been telling everyone how talented I am, and I keep reminding her that it was a set of decals – my talent (or lack thereof) had nothing to do with it! With the 5 year projected outdoor lifetime of the decal set, I feel confident that inside, covered up and in its cabinet, my mixer will be fabulous forever! I truly did not want to put it away in the cabinet after “decorating” it! The only warning I would give anyone buying this set is to be very careful as you’re placing the roses – they’re really sticky!
Decal was the perfect size for my 4.5 quart mixer. Sellers description was very informative and item was received quickly.
Ok, so I did not buy this. However there are a few historical issues with calling this a 1942 Navy sticker set.
- The Flying Tigers were originally an American volunteer and later a U.S. Army Air Force unit flying out of China, not a U.S. Navy squadron.
- The red horizontal stripe in the national insignia was not added until 1947. No US aircraft during WWII had these stripes in their insignia.
If sticking with the US Navy theme, probably better off calling this a VF-111 Sundowners F-4B decal sticker, circa 1972. Otherwise an A-10 of the USAF 23rd Fighter Group is more (but not completely) accurate.
Buyer beware, should you be cornered by a military nerd!
These decals are really heavy and the graphics are crisp. I have received many compliments on my enhanced mixer; even a bit of envy.
The one problem I did have on the application was *static* The over-sheet on which the decal were attached & aligned wanted to stick far quicker than I had expected. I had to reposition several of the decals because of this. One they were firmly in place, there is no moving them.
OK, here’s the gift for the cook who has everything. I have a white Kitchenaid mixer. I love it, but it looks like everyone’s mixer. Not anymore. I saw Alton Brown’s mixer on Good Eats one night, googled, and found FlameKA.com. Then I comparison shopped–basically everyone is charging the same price.
I got this one because it looked different from the flames. Also, my husband is a WWII buff, and he got a kick out of this set.
These decals are very heavy duty and thick. Easy to put on, and they’re not coming off easily. The instructions provided are fine, but this is so easy you don’t need much in the way of instructions.
FlameKA ships fast and isn’t a big ripoff for shipping charges.
I know it seems like a lot of money to decorate a mixer, but I am going to have this mixer for a very long time, so break the cost down to a monthly cost, or something that will make you feel better. I spent a lot of money on the mixer, so why not a few more bucks making it special?
I replaced my 15 year old hand mixer and I love the speed and power that this provides. I didn’t realize how dragged down it was until I got my new KitchenAid. The change in beater styles is a definite plus because not as much stuff gets caught up in the beaters. I would definitely recommend one to anyone who prefers a hand mixer over a stand mixer.
very nice product! got here in great time too! thanks for the first class service! id recomend!
Although I’ve had this mixer for 4 years, I probably used it a grand total of 6 times. The mixer is like new. I bought it to replace my mother’s 60 year old mixer, thinking it would be much more convenient to use. We recently had several people over for a get together and in the morning I brought out the mixer to make some frosting for cupcakes. The mixer would not turn on. It was completely dead. Fortunately, I still have my mother’s 60 year old mixer (it probably weighs 20 lbs!), so I dragged it out and made the frosting without a problem. They just don’t make things like they use to!
I bought this mixer over a year ago, and it has stopped working. Like others, it makes this clicking noise. I think that there is a loose wire. Everyone once in a while I can get it to work again, but it takes multiple trials. Way too pricey, and did not last. I think there is a manufacturer’s defect as multiple people have complained of the “clicking” problem and not being able to turn it on. Don’t waste your money. There are other brands that will last longer.
The product was delivered promptly in excellent condition. The seller did everything expected in the transaction.
This is a fabulous purchase. I use it almost everyday. Really easy to operate. Heavy duty. I bought the ice cream maker attachment as well, and all I can say is YUMMO! I saw a few reviews about it being a bit difficult to attach the ice cream blade, however it was as easy as hooking up a beater. (Hint; just look at the length of the two sides of the attachment and match it according to the picture of your model.) I looked at the other Kitchen Aid models, and am happy I bought the deluxe, lift bowl. It makes a large batch for one thing, and the power is incredible. I can make a quart of whipped cream in a minute, and my hands are free to do other prep work. I definitely use the shield when I have a full bowl, so don’t be fooled by what the adds say about the refurbished ones, “that you don’t need it”. (They can be ordered separately though.) With power like this, I will be ordering all the attachments for sure, which will eliminate many appliances. Just another reason I am happy to have this powerhouse. REALLY WORTH THE MONEY!
