I really like this beater. I use it almost every time I use my mixer. Batter does stick a bit to the blades, but even with that, I like it better than anything that came with my mixer. I also like that it can be put in the dishwasher. I recommend this.
Where can I find a list of all of the available Kitchenaid stand mixer models and their features?

This mixer is beautiful. It works great. We have made a few batches of pizza dough, cookies and brownies. THe only thing that we don’t like about it is that if you are making small batches of things the bowl is really way too big. I wished they had a diffeent size bowl that you could interchange with the 6 qt one.
Purchased a couple of New Metro Beater Blades for my daughters in 2008. My eldest is a cooking fool and sells a lot of her specialty pastries. She loved the beater blade and used it extensively but as fortune would have it the shaft broke around Thanksgiving that led to her hint for a replacement.
New Metro improved the design of their blade and one was ordered and in addition the SideSwipe was ordered, just in case of another accident.
The New Metro is a fine product but the gaps in the SideSwipe have endeared this design to my daughter because it allows for nuts to be mixed more efficiently, for this reason it is now her favorite.
When something meets her favor than it is a great product and highly recommended.
Always wanted a KitchenAid mixer and I bought the workhorse. Simply put, it makes baking and whatever else you would use a mixer to make so much easier! It is well worth the money.
The product was delivered promptly in excellent condition. The seller did everything expected in the transaction.
This is a fabulous purchase. I use it almost everyday. Really easy to operate. Heavy duty. I bought the ice cream maker attachment as well, and all I can say is YUMMO! I saw a few reviews about it being a bit difficult to attach the ice cream blade, however it was as easy as hooking up a beater. (Hint; just look at the length of the two sides of the attachment and match it according to the picture of your model.) I looked at the other Kitchen Aid models, and am happy I bought the deluxe, lift bowl. It makes a large batch for one thing, and the power is incredible. I can make a quart of whipped cream in a minute, and my hands are free to do other prep work. I definitely use the shield when I have a full bowl, so don’t be fooled by what the adds say about the refurbished ones, “that you don’t need it”. (They can be ordered separately though.) With power like this, I will be ordering all the attachments for sure, which will eliminate many appliances. Just another reason I am happy to have this powerhouse. REALLY WORTH THE MONEY!
The Sideswipe is great for soft batters-pancakes, cake mix, and icing. It keeps you from having lumps of flour in the bottom or stopping and pushing stuff down into the bowl with a spatula. It whips up icing very nicely as long as you soften the butter a little first. It isn’t has heavy as the other attachments (not metal) but it seems to be of good quality and cleans up easier than I thought it would. The Sideswipe should be included with every Kitchenaid.
Ordered the SideSwipe after seeing it reviewed on TV. It works great. I didn’t have to scrape the sides of the bowl at all. Worked so well I’ve already told all of my friends that have a KitchenAid Mixer that this is a “Must Have”
works well especially with thick batters! love it, but am not sure why KitchenAid doesn’t endorse it. Jealousy cause they didn’t think of it first????
I bought the side swipe beater for my KitchenAid Pro mixer. It lives up to all the claims! It cleans the sides AND bottom of the bowl as it mixes so there’s no powdery residue when you are done mixing. It reduces the mixing time as well and cleanup is a snap. I haven’t used the mixing paddle that came with my KitchenAid since this one arrived. My mom came to visit and loved it so I got her one for Mother’s Day. My sister saw moms so now she (my sister) is getting one for her birthday this month! Note – be sure to get the right size! The company has one for the 4 qt and one for the 5 qt and it does make a difference, so be sure to order the right one!
After my Beater Blade broke on semi-hard butter. I found this one. It’s much sturdier, and works great. Better than the Beater Blade by far.
