The Kitchen Aid Classic Plus Stand Mixer has been a delight to use. I used it the 1st week I got it unlike many pieces of electronics sitting around in my kitchen. My Mixer sits out ready for action despite the small amount of counter space that I have. It works wonderfully, and I look forward to making cookies with it soon.
I did miss the handle on the side after using an old industrial Kitchen Aid mixer that was donated to the local homeless shelter I volunteered at. It had the handle on it so I noted that, but the bottom of the bowl fits perfectly into my grip so it works as a handle as well. By the way they really stand up to the test of time by the old one.
Sincerely,
Susan S.
As suggested in the name, the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, is not designed to be stored in a cupboard, it can sit continuously on your kitchen table or a work surface. Though it has various attachments these do not need to be kept separate; they can be stored conveniently in the mixer's large bowl.
If you have previously owned or used a mixer you will be aware that they often require you to hold them when operated as otherwise they jump all over the kitchen. The KitchenAid Classic Plus Stand Mixer has been designed so that it is hands free. While it is mixing up the ingredients you can spend your time preparing the rest kitchenaid classic plus stand mixer of your dishes. It frees up time and effort.
It makes sense that when you shop for any kitchen or home appliance you choose a manufacturer that is trusted and established over a foreign brand you have never used before. KitchenAid have been involved in the manufacturer of kitchen equipment for more than 60 years - that is a lot of meals that have been prepared using their reliable mixers and other products.
They are a popular choice with hundreds of thousands of families and are even used by some of the most well known television chefs. Of course it is not by chance that these mixers have developed such a good reputation. They are manufactured from high quality stainless steel and have a warranty to cover parts for one year.
Kitchen demands can be intensive if you have many children. Luckily the Classic Plus mixer has a high powered motor that uses 575 watts of power - greater in comparison to other models in the same range. The number of different attachments that come with the mixer can also be used to shorten the preparation time.
The KitchenAid Classic Plus Stand Mixer is not just a mixer. You can use it to make ice cream in the summer. It is the type of kitchen appliance that you will wonder how you survived without.

I’ve had this thing a year, and have used it maybe 10 times. The wire beaters, which seem to be all the rage, don’t blend very well. For example, the sugar/butter combo you start with for cookies had huge chunks of butter that never blended, no matter how long or at which speed I used the mixer.
The motor is powerful, as it seemed to have no trouble “mixing” cookie dough, although I imagine not much power is needed to skim the thin wire beaters through butter without breaking it down and mixing it with the other ingredients.
Finally, what prompted me to write this review is that one of the beater inserts broke, so one of the beaters doesn’t stay in or turn.
My last hand mixer lasted almost 10 years through many many batches of cookies. I don’t remember what brand it was, but it was far superior to this ineffective piece of junk. I have to buy a new mixer now, and while I can’t assure myself that it won’t break, you can bet I’ll be avoiding anything with wire beaters.
This is a great mixer that is good overall. The spped could be a bit faster but it could mix anything we threw at it, including refrigerated butter that was not even thawed.
I would recommend!
Excellent product, makes baking and food preparation a lot easier. This was brought for my daughter who does all the holiday baking, she has used it a few times already and very much looking forward to baking for 2010 holiday season. Would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys cooking, it is a must to in your kitchen.
This was a fantastic purchase! I saved alot of money off of the original price and the seller shipped the item quickly.
I bought this mixer because Cook’s Illustrated recommended it. I can see, after 3 months, that CI was spot-on. It is a substantial-sized kitchen tool, and I’ve used it at least once a week since getting it. Primarily I bought this for bread mixing, and it clomps along even on the firmest dough (though it does “hop” a bit on firm doughs). The powerful engine can handle anything I throw at it. It also does a fabulous job on whipped cream — far better-textured than a hand-mixer could make. I’ve used it to make cakes and cream-cheese dips, frostings and herb butters, and there just doesn’t seem to be much this mixer can’t do to perfection. It’s not a food processor, so don’t expect it to chop and dice or to cut butter into biscuit dough, but it fulfills its function perfectly. It’s heavy-duty and substantial, and so easy to hand-wash I haven’t bothered putting its components through the dishwasher. 100% recommend.
THIS ITEM , ALTHOUGH IT WORKS GREAT IT HAS A PROBLEM WITH SPLATTERS AS BEATING STARTS , EVEN ON SLOW. THERE NEEDS TO BE A COVER OF SOME KIND TO PREVENT THIS PROBLEM. OTHER WISE IT IS A VERY STURDY MACHINE.
