I bought this because it’s not your average boring toaster. I like the slant and it is heavy which I think is a plus because it stays where you want it. It toasts evenly. So far no problems.
When it comes to coffee makers there are thousands to choose from. Among these thousands there are differences in price, functionality, warranty and style. Sure, you can go to the closest big box store and pick one up for about 20-bucks, but generally the machine is just plain boring. Why not spend some more cash for better longevity, better functionality and sexiness-factor? We all like to be sexy, so why not your kitchen?
The roasting drum roll please... The top 5 snazzy, sexy and sensational coffee makers for 2005 are:
1. The Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal Coffee Maker: Best of all is it's timed grinding and brewing feature. You wake up in the morning to the sound, smell and taste of the freshest ground coffee. This model is very tall and looks exceedingly modern with all of it's stainless steel. You have to ensure you have enough space in your kitchen for the Grind & Brew - not only in terms of the overall length, but the lid, which is located on top, has to open to pour the water in. It has a thermal carafe, so it doesn't burn your coffee and you can get warm coffee up to 2-hours later. It also uses charcoal water filters to clean the impurities out of your water. It has a 3-year limited warranty.
2. The Melitta eclectrics sugar (white) all-metal stand mixer Javapod One:One, Coffee Pod Machines: This is a space age looking coffee machine which makes one cup at a time. The only bummer with this type of coffee maker is it can't be used in high elevations...or kaboom! It comes in five snazztacular colors: red, white, black, mango and kiwi. It makes one bold cup of coffee in about a minute. It can host many other brands of coffee pods, so you are not just stuck on one kind and it can also make tea. It has a 1-year limited warranty.
3. The Hamilton Beach Eclectrics Coffee Makers: These metal beauties come in the most fantastic modern-retro designs and colors. Colors really wow you with intensity. Think about this...we pick paint sometimes because we like the name and now you can pick a coffee maker for the same reason. The Eclectrics series comes in Intrigue Blue, Apple, Moroccan Red, Sugar (ok, this one's white), Pineapple, Licorice (black) and Seabreeze. For color and design alone these coffee makers are snazzy, sexy and sensational. An added bonus is its warranty: 3 years, one of the best in the industry.
4. Kitchen Aid Pro Line 12-cup Coffee Makers: So you like coffee and you like lot's of it. This machine will be your Godsend. It comes with a portable second warmer. This second warmer is great for those winter Sundays, where you can put it on your bedside table to read and drink coffee all day long, without having to get up. It is also great if you want to brew two types of coffee like decaf (it even comes with an orange lid) and regular at the same time. It's made of die-cast metal, has a timer and a two temperature heat setting. For great tasting coffee this gem comes with a Ion exchange water filter. It has a 2-year warranty and if you, for some reason, get a replacement the replacement has a 2-year warranty.
5. Capresso CoffeeTEAM Luxe Coffee Maker : Capresso coffee and espresso machines are simply the crème de la crème of coffee makers. This pearl has a programmable grind and brew feature, it holds a quarter pound of coffee beans and it has a filter indicator to tell you when your water filter is pooched. It brews to over 200 degrees, so it really extracts the flavor from the beans. It has a one year warranty, but I doubt you will need it. It only comes in black or white.
There you have it, 5 snazzy, sexy and sensational coffee makers to make your kitchen smile with pride. Do yourself a favor, buy a good coffee maker. It will last longer and it looks good in your home...best of all your coffee will taste better.
Where to find Hamilton Beach Eclectrics products in the color Sea Breeze?
I have been looking for nearly a year now and I can't find a coffeemaker, stand mixer, or a retro eclectrics sugar (white) all-metal stand mixer drink mixer ANYWHERE! I already own the toaster and blender. I have looked on eBay, Amazon, Overstock, Yahoo, in tons of stores, and regular web searches. Any suggestions where to find them?http://marketplace.chef2chef.net/kitchen-store/Hamilton_Beach/Hamilton_Beach_65119_Eclectrics_All_Metal_Retro_Drink_Mixer_Sea_Breeze_B000A1FFMW.htm

I’ve long been on a quest for the perfect blender–this is my fifth one in the past three years (RIP, one Magic Bullet, two Hamilton Beach single-serves, and one Back to Basics Express). I use it every day to make a breakfast smoothie using frozen fruit, so I’m tough on blenders. I chose this one because unlike most other inexpensive models, it has a much more powerful motor; 500W vs. 175-350W. I’ve been using it for about a month, and am mostly pleased. The biggest problem I have with this blender is its tendency to push things up rather than around; I often have to stop it and stick a spoon down into the smoothie to pop the air bubble that forms around the blades, causing them to spin ineffectively, and when the mixture is more liquid, it tends to slosh rather than blending smoothly. But it does make short work of the frozen fruit, so that’s a big plus.
I bought this for my sister and she is most pleased with the turn knob as opposed to buttons. She also says it’s great for clean-up with fewer pieces. Powerful yet quiet. When it’s time to replace mine I’ll definitely purchase this model.
I got this blender two weeks ago and have been using it to make milkshakes. It works very well, but sometimes you need to blend twice to make sure all the fruit lumps have moved around and been blended. Upsides: it’s stylish, matches my toaster, and the whole thing feels good quality. The jug is made of nice heavy glass and the blender is sturdy. It’s also not too noisy. Downsides: it’s expensive. I bought it as a visual treat for myself, so if you just need something that does the job, you might be better off with something cheaper. If you need something super-fancy that makes bar quality margaritas, pls read some of the other reviews…Re seller: this blender is actually available in several colors from various different vendors for vastly different prices, i.e. this is not the only entry in the Amazon catalog. I recommend doing a specific search on the blender, and seeing what comes up. Also, I recommend getting the one shipped by Amazon/Target. Some of the other reviews weren’t very happy with the other sellers and I read most of them. So this is something to keep in mind.
I just used my new blender for the first time, but having been used to using a blender with a very weak motor, I must have not put enough ice in the mix… because after 20 seconds of blending, the ice disappeared. Completely gone. I was left with nothing but liquid! So I poured out half my liquid and added more ice – and after 10 seconds of blending I got “the perfect margarita.” I love my new blender! Now that I’ve got a handle on the power this thing has, I can’t wait to make perfect margaritas (with plenty of ice) every time. The best part is that this blender has a very small footprint and fits easily in my cupboard assembled, taking up half the space of my old blender!
I bought this toaster after reading the reviews here. I was not disapointed. I like it. I gave it 4 stars because of the height and that crumbs get caught in the exterior grove around the top. Other than that it toasts very nicely and the slots are large. Toasts fat bagels without getting stuck. Finish is nice.
This is an all metal toaster with a very clever setting for bagels; you can toast only the cut side of the bagel! It looks great on the counter and matched the black coloring of our other appliances. But after one week the hold down lever failed and the bread wouldn’t stay in the toaster. Fortunately it was not difficult to return. I bought a Sunbeam for $9.99 and it works well.
Wife loves it. I love it. Solid (all metal) and very easy to use. Very consistent results. Impressed with the metal baffles between heating elements and food which even out heat. Only time will tell how durable it is (have only had it 2 months).
I recently received this toaster hamilton beach eclectrics I hate it. Its not what I thought I was getting. Its huge and weighs a ton.
The color is beautiful and it works ok not great, just not what I thought I ordered. I thought it was a flat top toaster but it has a slanted top.
I was told by amazon that all hamilton beach toasters are like the one I got. I ordered other appliances to go with the toaster so
I am stuck with it. Too bad. I won’t being buying anything else from Amazon ever.
This product is a great buy. It is cheaper than the KitchenAid brand, but is just as good, if not better. The three year warranty gives you peace of mind much more than the one year warranty offered by KitchenAid. My husband and I went back and forth on whether or not we would purchase a stand mixer because he didn’t think we needed it, but I knew I would use it. Since purchase I’ve used it a couple of times a week or more, it is very handy, easy to use, and works wonderfully. I have no reservations about recommending this product to anyone!
