I had on like this for a little over a year, loved it,then it stopped!I got this a few dollars cheaper, said it was improved,so far so good!Makes coffee great and steams the milk great! Makes hot-chocolate even.If it works for more than a year, great! If not,it’ll be my last hamilton beach purchase.

Will a mini food processor ("food chopper") work to make my won baby food, or will I need a full size?
I am planning to make my on baby food soon and I am wondering if I can use a mini food processor rather than having hamiltonbeach stand mixer to but a large one. I already have a blender, but I don't plan to make huge batches; I just want to be able to process what we are having for her to be able to eat too. Has anyone used one like this? Does it make a mush or just chunks? I am looking at the Hamilton beach mini chopper since it matches my set. Any other tips are welcome. 1. Grabowski Says:

The Hamilton Beach chopper is great if you are looking for an inexpensive food chopper that you can use around the house. It works great and cleans up easily.

  2. Kephart Says:

Great for tasks that would be messy with a knife and cutting board. I use it for nuts, cranberries, etc. Haven’t tried it with onions as I prefer a french chef knife for most fresh vegetables. Cleanup is a breeze but use great care with the super sharp blade. It’s what I wanted, a small, easy to clean, easy to store, affordable, efficient chopper.

  3. Moyle Says:

My Father only has five teeth and won’t get dentures. The food chopper has made possible to give him his favorite food; chopped and smooth. His blood sugar has gone down as well as his sodium level.

  4. Garbanzo Says:

I love this 3 cup food processor! I use this for my everyday family meal cooking. Very helpful in chopping carrots in small bits. I always add carrots or any vegetable to ground meats so that I can sneak some vegetables to my kid’s meals. This chopper do a good job in chopping carrots that my kids dont even notice the veggy in their meatballs, burger, spaghettie sauce, etc… To get better results, I chop the carrots first into cubes and then toss them in this chopper and I do shake the chopper to get better results because it does not do a good job when you dont shake them. For the price of this chopper, I dont have complains and dont mind at all preping the carrots and shaking the chopper because I hate manually chopping hard raw carrots into tiny bits, it is very tedious and dangerous! I do have the very much expensive and ’state of the art’ cuisineart food processor - which I use very rarely because it takes a lot of time to set-up and clean afterwards. So for everyday-family meal-chopping chores, I will definitely recommend this. It’s cheap, convenient, and very useful.

I tried using this once to chop bell peppers and celery and it turn into a juicy salsa, so not recommended if your NOT making salsa. But if you want salsa, this machine is great! My sister makes salsa and shrimp cocktails all the time and she uses this chopper all the time.

So definitely recommended. By the way, I had mine for three years already and it is still working!

I really enjoy using this mixer. It has enough power and is not loud at all. Easy to use. Love it!!

  6. Killmer Says:

I bought this mixer as my first Amazon purchase in 2006. (I am not going back to review my items, ha)

I still use this mixer to this day. I make pizza dough almost weekly in here for pizza’s and garlic knots.

This mixer has not given my one ounce of problems. Cakes, whipped cream, batter, you name it, I have mixed it in here.

I even had a hand problem a year or so back where I was in a cast for a few weeks, and I used this thing to mix my home made meatballs.

I am starting to outgrow this mixer though, I am growing in my cooking, and want to start making my own pasta and sausages. Without the attachment on the front, I am starting to lok toward Kitchen Aid.

This is a great alternative to a Kitchen Aid if you don’t want to spend the money. Motor is just as strong, and the mixer spins the same. It gets the sides pretty well.

4 stars are for a great product, but I am starting to miss the attachment option.

  7. Garton Says:

The plastic thing that is supposed to make it easier to add product is highly overrated. Also the splatter guard gets in the way when you are trying to scrape the sides of the bowl. Throw them away and you have a great mixer.

  8. McDuff Says:

I loved my old Sunbeam mixer but after 40 years it gave out. The new Halmilton Beach Eclectrics Stand Mixer is sturdy and quiet. I’ve only had it a short while, but it appears to have plenty of power for my recipes. I like the slow mixing action that rotates the paddle around the bowl. It has a nice style for my kitchen and it seems sturdy.
Good value for the money(we had shopped on-line and in stores for a couple weeks).

The two things I don’t like about it are that it’s impossible to scrape the side of the bowl without removing it from the base (my old Sunbeam could do this) and it takes two hands to flip up the mixer head from the bowl.
