I love my new mixer! The 7-quart seems to be the largest on the market for home use. The extra bowl allows me to mix multiple receipes at the same time. The price was great! The shipping and service were wonderful.

The Cuisinart Stand Mixer is perfect for people who cook for the masses. This 7-Quart Cuisinart Stand Mixer is perfect for any large-scale home bakery projects. It is said to be the largest capacity on the market, if you can believe that. Cuisinart mixers such as this one are powered by 1000 watts of motor action. This makes it nearly twice as powerful as comparable units that are sold by competitors.

Measurements and Features

The Cuisinart Mixer Stand measures 14.5 inches tall, 15.5 inches wide, and 11 inches deep (including mixing bowl when in place). It comes with accessories such as a large balloon whisk, flat beater, and dough hook. It also comes with a clear splashguard cuisinart 5.5 quart stand mixer and pouring shield.

There is an electronic dial that adjusts to 12 different mixing speeds. There also is a splatter-proof function with each of these speeds, in that the speed slowly increases when selected. This unit also allows for automatic mixing and includes a timer to tell you when the mixing time is up. It can be set up to 15 minutes, and then automatically stops for you.

Performance

This turns out to be one of the most impressive units on the market. It does many different jobs such as whipping heavy cream to blending stiff cookie dough. The bowl that comes with Cuisinart Mixers holds up to 15 cups of flour that is enough to make 4 loaves of break or 15 batches of cookies. The depth of the mixing bowl is also quite impressive-especially since it seems to allow the beater or other attachment to do its best work. Furthermore, this deeper bowl also allows for a splatter proof experience.

Another very useful function that users appreciate about the Cuisinart Stand Mixer is the fact that it has three add-on outlets. Corresponding blender, food processor, juicer, meat grinder, or pasta maker could be plugged into this unit and these outlets operate at different speeds. Using this device is like having a restaurant in the home. In fact, it might even be certifiable to be used on the premises of some businesses. It has received a consumer rating of 4/5 stars overall.

cuisinart-stand-mixer-bargains cuisinart sm-55 Free Significant Roadmap

After admiring KA mixers for years, I finally got the opportunity to purchase a mixer. I did my usual exhaustive review process before making a decision on which model to get. I was surprized to find that KA is not what it once was- there was no consistently reliable model. After reading glowing reviews of the Cuisinart, I decided to give it a try. In addition to Amazon’s great price, there was a free food processor deal as well. That definitely helped make my decision easier!

I absolutely love the Cuisinart mixer. It handles all batters and dough without a problem. I’m new to the mixer world, so am also very impressed by the timer you can set and be busy doing other prep work. It’s been about 6 months, but I still haven’t tried the food processor yet- I’ll try to add a review for that later…

Are you looking for a mixer? Well then you must definitely look at the Cuisinart Sm-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers. So, maybe it is a good idea to look at hat others are saying about the mixer. You need to know if it is really that good and whether it is strong enough for your needs.  So, let’s have a look at it.

1. Is the Cuisinart Sm-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers really as good as the manufacturer says?

Well, reading the comments on Amazon really convinced me that it is. People really like the appearance of the machine and they love the idea cuisinart sm-55 that it is not as heavy as some. The machine also does not take up as much counter space and is easy to store.

2. Is it strong enough for all my mixing needs?

You will find that users say, when they first saw the machine, they were nervous as it appears small and the paddles look very light. When they start using the machine though, they find that it can mix very well. Steven J. Rickard says he kneads whole wheat bread in it without any trouble. It really looks as though this baker gives his machine hard labor without any trouble!

3. Can it handle small and large quantities?

Amanda Bucko says it kneads dough with the same ease as it mixes icing! What is more, she says, the splashguard prevents a mess when she is making up big batches of butter cream. Well, I do not know if you have had to clean up a mess after mixing a big batch, I have, so I can promise you this is a very big PLUS point for me.

In conclusion, even though I have to admit I have not had one yet, as my old Kenwood is still going strong, the Cuisinart Sm-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers really looks worth looking at.

cuisinart-stand-mixer-bargains Extra title for cuisinart 7 qt stand mixer

The Beater Blade, once you get it properly adjusted, is a huge time saver. It takes a little messing with it to get it to the right height. But once it’s done, it aerates the bejeezus out of whatever you’re making, and saves you time by continually scraping down the bottom and sides of your mixing bowl. I have one for my 7 qt Cuisinart stand mixer, and my 5 qt Kitchen Aid. I can’t imagine baking without them now.

The Beater Blade is a must have for everyone who bakes.

Cookware is commonly used in the kitchen. It comprises of cooking vessels such as, frying pans and saucepans. It is intended for use on a range top or stove. Cookwares come in many variations. With the proper understanding of its features, you can choose which best fits your kitchen.

Cookware is commonly used in the kitchen, and it comprises of cooking vessels such as, frying pans and saucepans. It is intended for use on a range top or stove in preparing the food or for cooking purposes. Many variations have been developed as people tend to discover various other vessels for cooking.

During the civilizations of Stone Age, it was believed that the first techniques of using cooking vessels have been used. Among this, there were the improvements to basic roasting, and the use of clay or large leaves in order to preserve the moisture of the cooked food.

In Asia, bamboo tubes can be a used as a container, while in other places, the shells of turtles or large mollusks are being used as a waterproof cooking vessel. As early as 7000 BC, the inhabitants of the Tehaucan Valley began carving large stone bowls. Pottery developments allowed the creation of different shapes and sizes for fireproof cooking vessels. Subsequent to this, the porous container was then converted in order to produce ceramic glazes. Aside from this, bronze and iron metalworking skills were allowed in making cookware.

By the 17th century, the Westerner's kitchens began to use kettles, baking pans, skillets and pots. These were commonly produced by a local blacksmith in American colonies. The material was derived from iron, while brass or copper were common in Europe and Asia.

Cookwares are made from different materials, such as:

Metals

• Aluminum - a very good thermal conductivity that does not rust. It is lightweight, and resistant to many forms of corrosion. However, it can react with some acidic foods and changes its taste.

Hence, non-anodized (has no layer of aluminum oxide) aluminum may cause oxidation to some of the foods like sauces that contains egg yolks, or vegetables such as asparagus or artichokes. Aluminum is commonly used for pie plates, cake or muffin pans, baking sheets and even pasta pots, steamers, skillets and stockpots.

• Copper - is good for thermal conductivity, it provides most of the heating aspect. Copper tends to be heavy and requires occasional re-tinting. It is also expensive. So far, they are considered as the best for fast cooking and sautéing due to such high heat.

• Cast Iron - a reactive material that can withstand very high temperatures. Cast iron is a porous material that easily rusts and requires seasoning before usage.

• Stainless Steel - is a relatively poor heat conductor. It is commonly used for kitchen equipment that contains a minimum of 11.5% chromium. Stainless steel is an iron alloy that also blends containing 18% chromium with either 8% nickel, called 18/8, or with 10% nickel, called 18/10. It reacts with either alkaline or acidic foods. Thus, they do not easily dent.

• Carbon Steel - maintains high strength and heat resistance when rolled into very thin sheets of material. Carbon Steel may be an advantage for woks and paella pans, but it does not conduct any heat. A process of rubbing fat on the surface can be done as its recommended usage in cooking.

There are also composite and coated cookwares such as:

• Enamel casted iron - made of cast iron which covers the surface with porcelain. It is has the properties that combines cast iron with a non-reactive and low stick surface. Thus, this creates a piece that has retention and heat distribution.

• Enamel over steel - this technique creates a piece that has a non-reactive, heat distribution of carbon steel and a low stick surface. Enamel over steel is ideal for large pans that are used mostly in water based cooking. Thus, it is a popular piece of cookware for camping instances because of its lightweight feature.

• Clad aluminum or copper - a technique with a layer of heat conducting material that can fabricate pans, such as aluminum and copper. Both its inner and the outer portion of a pot made of aluminum are typically clad. This way, it provides stainless surfaces for cooking and a contact cook top. Plus, the interior surface of copper is typically clad which leaves more attractive copper for exposure to the outer side of the pan.

• Teflon coated frying pan (Non-stick) - Teflon (polytetrafluoroethylene) minimizes the possibility of food sticking to the pan's surface. Using Teflon is much easier because it is effortless to clean it as compared to other pots. Aside from this, there are no frequent results of having foods burned in its usage. It is important that while cooking, never use metal implements on the pan. This requires cautious care and attention.

Non-metallic

Non-metallic cookware can be used in microwave ovens but cannot be used on the stovetop. Such examples are as follows:

• Ceramics - provides a nonstick cooking surface such as glazed ceramics like porcelain. Terra Cotta (unglazed ceramics) has a porous surface. During the cooking process, its surface can hold water and other liquids. Hence, some glazes used on ceramic have a highly contained level of lead that can be a risk to our health.

• Glass - Borosilicate glass is oven safe and allows the food to be seen with its clear glass.

• Glass-ceramic - this ceramic is used in making different products that has the best properties of both glass and ceramic cookware. It is immune to thermal shock because of it's near-zero co-efficiency to thermal expansion.

• Silicone - able to withstand maintained temperatures of 675°F (360°C). It is light and flexible. The advantage of removing baked goods from the pan is its own flexibility.

Cooking vessels such as pots and pans have different variations and types. Such are:

• Braising pans and roasting pans - also known as roasters and braisers. It provides space for cooking chicken, pork or beef. It is also a shallow, large and wide pan, usually made of heavy gauge metal for safety usage on cook tops. Thus, it typically has a cover and two loops or handles.

• Casserole pans - can be used on the stovetop and in the oven. It is commonly made from glazed ceramic. A casserole is similar to having a roaster and a Dutch oven that can be used interchangeably.

• Dutch ovens - used for stews, soups, braised meats and a variety of large dishes, for slow low heat cooking. It is made from cast iron. Generally it is made into a deep pot with a heavy lid, for the purpose of re-creating oven conditions on the stovetop.

• Frying Pans or Skillets - sometimes called omellette pans. Frypans provide shallow sides, a large flat heating surface, and it measures 20-30 cm in diameter. Thus, it is best for frying food.

• Griddles - used for grilling, making pan breads such as pancakes and crepes, and frying. It is a flat circular plate metal with a semicircular hoop that is attached to the sides. It has a measurement of about 20 up to 30 cm in diameter. There are also rectangular and square griddles like grill pans, which enables its content to define a pattern similar to a waffle maker.

• Saucepans - used for boiling or simmering. It has one long handle unlike sauce-pots that possesses two handles, for easy lifting with both hands. Usually 1-8 liters, saucepans are measured by volume.

• Sauté pans - like a fry pan, it is used for sautéing. Sauté pans have vertical sides and a large area surface in order to prevent food during cooking from escaping.

• Stockpots - allows stock to simmer for a period of time. It is a large pot that comes in different sizes in order to meet the needs of a family who wants to prepare the food for a banquet.

• Woks - typically used for stir-frying, but can be used also for steaming and deep frying. It has a rough bowl shape that is wide and has one or two handles near the rim.

Without a doubt, this is the best kitchen gadget I have ever bought. Magic Bullet - sold in garage sale. Food Chopper - lost or broken. This is the best small little chopper you can imagine - and so easy to clean and store. It doesn’t chop too much - so your veggies won’t be mushy - but it sure will dice as finely as you need. I can’t make guacamole without it anymore because of the tomatoes and onions it helps me chop.
Best give to give or receive - I can’t say enough about this little wonder.

I bought this coffee maker over a year ago. Still works great. Keeps coffee hot. How long do you expect to keep coffee hot enough to burn your lips? All cuisinart model sm70 these whiners need to shell out the big bucks for a $200-300 coffee pot. For $70. you get a great tasting cup of coffee, you dont have to worry about forgetting to turn it off or getting burnt coffee, and the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours...then pretty warm after that. only thing is pouring in the water is kinda tricky..but, learn to turn your arm just right, and its in. I love it, would buy another in a second.

I am MUCH happier with this coffee maker, than the one I replaced ( A Cuisinart Grind and Brew). It is so easy to use, as opposed to the old one which was VERY time and labor involved. Anyone looking to buy a Cuisinart coffee maker should heed the many warnings of buyers who tell of the time involved washing the grinder after EVERY use with the Grind and Brew. Buy an inexpensive grinder if you prefer whole bean, and purchase this model.

The only negative I have of this model, is that the water fill level is not clearly marked, and transfer of water by means of the carafe is hindered by the cover. Otherwise it is a great, fast machine!

4.5 stars out of 5stars, Good value for the money
cuisinart-stand-mixer-bargains cuisinart model sm70 Significant Roadmap
When you buy a coffee maker you have two options. Get one with a glass carafe or one with a heat insulated metallic carafe. If you go the glass route the glass container looses the heat quickly so the hot plate stays on to compensate. The problem with that is after 15 minutes the coffee gets bruised from too much heat and looses flavor. The metallic route turns the hot plate off and retains the heat with the special insulation that the glass design can't offer. A professional heat insulated thermos will retain the heat for maybe 5 hours. Coffee maker insulated thermoses like the one you get with this model aren't as good and can only do a good job keeping it hot for 2 hours in my opinion. Some reviews said this design kept it warm for 5 hours.

Pros
* 3 year warranty. My old Krups broke after a year and it came with no warranty.
* Heat insulated carafe to retain fresh tasting warm coffee all mourning.
* Charcoal water filter built in to filter out bad tasting tap water before it mixes with coffee.
* Automatic timer option so it will turn itself on and brew any time of the day. Tried it out and works like it should. The stuff starts brewing right when I wake up. Coffee purists say coffee should be kept air tight before you brew it so letting it rest in the machine not air tight with this feature would violate that principle. I thing=k it tastes fine.
* Has a feature for brewing 5 cups + or 4 cups or less. This way it adjusts the hot plate accordingly. Cheapo coffee makers will have a set hot plate setting no matter how much liquid is in the carafe. So if your brewing less it might get burnt were if you were brewing the max amount the carafe can hold it heats it just right.
* Beaps when coffee is ready to serve.
* Machine sell for less than $100 but most machines that come with these features

Cons
* Carafe can consistently keep coffee warm and fresh for 2 hours but after that I need to microwave. I usually only need a 2 hour window so it isn't a problem for me.
* Narrow space to pour water in machine. I use a measuring cup to pour, otherwise water will spill down side of machine.
* Automatic timer feature not intuitive.
Having it turn it self on and brew for any set time is not intuitive to figure out and instruction book doesn't explain well. After maybe 8 minutes of monkeying around I figured out how to use every feature it offered.
* 10 cup max. Some machines can brew 12 cups. I will never have a tea party for 10 or 12 so I could care less.

Great Coffee All Morning
cuisinart-stand-mixer-bargains cuisinart model sm70 Significant Roadmap
I love my new Cuisnart Thermal Coffee maker. I took the hint in other reviews and always turn on the 4 cup setting to make the water hotter. That way, I prepare the coffee the night before and let the timer brew it each morning. The thermal carafe keeps it hot enough for me all morning long. Some complained it is difficult to fill. I have a two cup plastic measuring cup that goes down inside the unit with the coffee basket removed and then tilts and pours with no problem. For me this has been a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new coffee maker. The price on Amazon was the best I found anywhere. JWL

Does anyone own a cooks stand mixer? Which mixer is the best?
I am going to purchase a stand mixer today. I have been wanting the kitchaid forever but then when I was going to buy it I saw that Cook's has one on sale for only $150 and it is 700 watts cusinart 10 speed stand mixer compared to the 450 watt of kitchenaid and then there is cusinart which had mixed reviews. I do not do a lot but I do want one and for this money I would like the best. I read kicthenaid has plastic parts inside which I do not like. What are your opinions? The money is not an issue I would rather buy one that will last! $150 is still a lot so I do not want to spend that on something bad.ok I just bought the kitchenaid pro 5 series thanks everyone now where can I get those bowl guards?

Love it! some people whine over nothing!

I bought this coffee maker over a year ago. Still works great. Keeps coffee hot. How long do you expect to keep coffee hot enough to burn your lips? All cuisnart 12 speed stand mixer these whiners need to shell out the big bucks for a $200-300 coffee pot. For $70. you get a great tasting cup of coffee, you dont have to worry about forgetting to turn it off or getting burnt coffee, and the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours...then pretty warm after that. only thing is pouring in the water is kinda tricky..but, learn to turn your arm just right, and its in.

4.5 stars out of 5stars, Good value for the money
cuisinart-stand-mixer-bargains cuisnart 12 speed stand mixer Significant Info

JWL

cuisinart-stand-mixer-bargains cuisinart mixer Tip

We’ve had several hand mixers over the years, and this one finally really has the power to do some tougher tasks such as mixing organic peanut butter without struggling. It handles well and the swivel cord helps keep the cord out of the frostings etc. Only one complaint…the so-called power/soft start causes a surge right when you least want it, speeding well above the 1 or 2 setting before settling down, so you have to think ahead before shutting it off, removing it from a mix, and restarting it…if you don’t reinsert it in the mix before restarting it, you’ll likely splatter the surrounds, including yourself!

Which stand mixer to buy?
Can some please help me choose one of the two stand cuisinart mixer mixers or suggest another one. I want the best in the market: (1) KitchenAid Artisian Series or (2) Cuisinart SM-55Thanks for all the help everyone!!

cuisinart-stand-mixer-bargains Educational cuisinart stand mixer Resources And Information

I’ve had this about a month. Originally, I bought it for kneading sourdough (sticky). I tried the 5.5 qt first and found it too small for my needs. With this machine, I can knead 3 french bread type loaves, about 750g flour with 200g levain and 325g water. I wouldn’t push the machine past this amount. Reading the recipes in the accompanying cookbook, it says the dough is supposed to combine around the kneading paddle, which mine definitely does. I’m a little concerned about the weight of the dough ultimately breaking the kneading paddle, but time will tell.
I have never had this type stand mixer, but previously had one similar to the bosch for bread making only. I could make lots and lots of dough with that mixer, but it is finally needing replacement. This machine does not compare in capacity to such as I had, but has its own merits.
I made cookie dough twice with this and it was quite nice not to have to mix anything manually. I’ve also made piadina dough which is also sticky. I had to scrape the sides once to incorporate everything (with the dough hook), but not with the flat paddles.
All in all, if the dough hook holds up, I’m more pleased with this machine than I thought I’d be.
I have never tried the Kitchenaid pro and that’s the only other one I’m curious about camparing this machine to.

With battery-operated blenders, making cold drinks does not require a power generator anymore. The batteries are rechargeable, and the machine has a powerful motor perfect for ice crunching.

Blenders have become an essential tool in every kitchen. It can dissolve or liquify foods to aid in cooking. The first blenders manufactured were bulky and more difficult to handle. They occupy a big amount of space in the kitchen that it sacrifices having a big working area.

Furthermore, the first produced blenders only had the rudiments of blending or mixing food. It was sans the important features we take for granted today, like having multiple speed options to control the fineness or coarseness of the output.

With the advent of battery operated blenders, blenders are now lightweight and impact resistant. This means that you can basically take it wherever you go. Moreover, these blenders are now designed for larger capacities to produce more drinks in one blending.

And because of its portable design, the kitchen now looks more spacious, clean and organized. These battery operated cuisinart stand mixer blenders can sit quietly in a corner of your kitchen. Also, since these are operated with batteries, they are very convenient to use even in times of sudden power outages. And the batteries are rechargeable.

There are many new designs in the market these days, each more convenient than the last. Aside from being portable and handy, these have powerful motors convenient for ice crushing. You can now make cold drinks and fruit shakes for everyone without the need to bring along a power generator.

Here are some of the popular portable, battery-operated blenders in the market these days:
RoadPro Blender (RPSC876) is cordless, suitable for traveling. It can easily crush ice with its 10,000 RPM-capable motor. For home usage, an 110V charger is included in the package. For vehicle charging, a 12V charger is also included. Due to its "interchangeable" battery system, it can work well with various RoadPro products. Thus, its AC charger is UUCSA approved.

Cuisinart Handheld Blender (CSB-44N) is another versatile tool, especially made for those who find stand blenders or food processors inconvenient or too big. This blender is only about 16 ½ inches tall. It is handy because it is battery operated, working well with rechargeable batteries. When fully charged, it can run for approximately 15 minutes prior to charging again.

The GSI Technologies Vortex Two-Speed Blender (73365) is a hand crank type of blender that can crush ice easily. It is a popular party blender. This powerful and portable vortex can mix Pina Coladas, Margaritas and Daiquiris with ease. It can even prepare frozen drinks with only a 90-second interval. Its stainless steel designed blade can chop ultra fine ice consistently.

The BonJour Turbo Whisk Handheld Blender is a versatile tool that can whip, mix, beat and blend consistently and easily. It has a Turbo Whisk feature that makes all this possible. It is a very handy tool.

The Salco Handheld Blender (HWFPM-18) is a 2-in-1 tool, with a beater and measuring cup feature. It operates on dual-speed. It has a cordless and powerful design. The beater is detachable for easy cleaning. The mixer is also removable. Only 2 C-sized batteries are required.

Kitchenaid or Cuisinart stand mixer?
I'm looking into finally buying a good stand mixer. I know Kitchenaid cuisinart stand mixer is great, but has anyone also used the new Cuisinart? Does anyone have good comparisons to make between the two? If I'm going to plunk down my change I'd love to get the best one possible. Thanks alot!Eileen
